At Dundas Public School we use School Bytes parent portal app to make communication and admin easier for families. These tools help you:
- receive school communications/messages
- make payments quickly and securely
- view academic reports
- stay up to date with school events
- record absences.

School Bytes
School Bytes is used for
- General announcements and messages to parents/carers
- View/read/download academic reports
- submit future student absence requests for your child
- explain reasons for your child’s past absence
- book parent/teacher interviews
- view/read/download newsletters
- paying school fees, excursions and events and providing online permission for events.
The app is available on Google Play and Apple store.
Log-in to the School Bytes portal or:
- Download School Bytes on Google Play
- Download School Bytes on the Apple Store
There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.
Costs to consider include:
- uniforms
- school books and equipment
- excursions
- co-curricular activities.
Voluntary school contributions
Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.

Financial assistance
If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.
Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.
Please contact the school office to make an appointment with the school principal if financial assistance is required.
